Has she dumped me?

As the hours turn into days, and the days approach a week, I have to begin to accept that my dear, dear Russian beauty, the sweet aka Maria has dumped me. I have not heard from her since the 15th, and others report that they have received more messages from her. (Someone mentioned that she may also be using the email address

Why ever would she have turned her back on me? Perhaps because I was giving her the finger the whole time in my replies, and she only just started reading them to see who was offering money? Yeah, that was probably it. :-)

So apparently this is the end of the line for me. It was a fun ride. I wish I'd been around to see the money requests. If you're getting emails from her, please keep me up to date with your comments and let me know how the whole thing progresses.

Here is what I assume will be my final note to her:

My Dearest Maria,

It's been nearly a week since I've heard from you, while all of my friends that you've been emailing report that you've written to them. Have I done something wrong? Have you decided that we're not right for each other, though all of the others ARE right for you?

Well, I suppose that what I want most is for you to be happy. And if your happiness means dumping me in favor of all of those other guys you're emailing, then so be it. But when you get to the U.S., know that my cardboard home is always open to you. (Bring your own blanket though!)

Fare well, my love!

Insincerely and finally yours,

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it, and always remember --

If it seems too good to be true,
somebody's scamming you! ;-)

Hello my friend Edward!

How have you been? How was your weekend? I hope everything goes well
for you! I'm well but the weekend
was not real good. I had to work on Saturday and was very tired.
Unfortunately I have some bad news today.
My mother felt herself bad yesterday. It seems that she got seek. She
got a high body temperature and we
decided to hospitalize her in order to figure out what happened to her.
She will stay at the hospital
for a week I suppose or maybe less. She will pass off the medical tests
and we'll know how to cure her.
I hope that everything will be ok and my mother didn't sick very
serious! Actually I'm an optimist!
What about you by the way? As a frugal person I fortunately have enough
money to pay for her physical
examination. In fact, I have always had some money for the unexpected
circumstances. My mother is aged
enough and her salary is not big. It's our Russian problem - old people
have not enough money to support
themselves. Old people have a medical insurance but it is limited and
does not include the serious cases.
So adults try to support their parents and grandparents as much as they
can. Edward, I want to ask you
if you have a similar situation there. Is it difficult to be an aged
man in America?
Edward, I went today to my agency and asked them if I could move to
your town for work again. I wanted
to hear the answer again. I wanted to hear something for certain. They
were very surprised that I asked
them it once again, but they confirm that nothing has changed and my
wish will be satisfied and I'll have
a work in your town or even in the suburb. So it's good news. I also
let them know that I might not be
able to set out by March 22 due to my mother's illness. As you know I
had a reserved ticket on March 22.
They told me that they can postpone my flight for some time. It's good
either. If everything will be ok
with work in America I prefer to stay there than come back to Russia. I
think that my friend Katerina will
be sad to see that I'm leaving but I think we will keep in touch via
internet. Maybe someday she will decide
to come to America as well.
I wonder Edward, do people learn foreign languages there? What
languages people learn? Everybody here learns
foreign language in the school and continues in the university. I also
heard that everybody there play golf,
is this true? I have to say that I have never played golf and I think
it is not so popular here. Tennis here
is much more preferable.
I feel that we are becoming closer and closer with each letter. Do you
feel something like this? I do! I see
that you are sincere and smart. I think that we could be more than
friends. Of course we should meet first
and only time will tell if we are a good match. But I want you to know
that definitely feel affection towards
you. I always glad to see your letters in my mailbox. Your letters
brighten my day! We have the customary
gesture here. When people meet they kiss each other in the cheek. But
if they are very good friends they kiss
in the cheeks and hug. I want you to kiss and hug me at our first
meeting Edward.
Well, I have to quit here. I'll try to write to you tomorrow but we'll
have two surgeries and will perform the
anesthesia, so I don't know if I'll be able to write. Anyway I'll try
to drop you a line at least!
With great affection!
Your Russian friend

P.S. If you feel that I didn't answer some of your questions please
review my previous letter. I do believe
you will find the answers!

Dear Maria,

I am so sorry that your Mother is ill. I know that she is in good hand while in your care. Please find the best physician for my future mother in law! I know how difficult this must be for both of us. Yes Dear everyone plays golf in America. I am in the process of teaching my dog to play. Do you have dogs in Russia? By the way, I want to share my special nickname with you; only the people who are closest to me call me "Noodnik." If you really do care for me, please refer to me with this nickname from now on. When I am sure you are the woman for me, I will refer to you as "Schmekl." In closing, my dear, I can't wait to meat you.
Love, Noodnik
P.S. Please let me know when you will be arriving.

Here is my latest email from our friend. I would like to see other emails from this fraud. Anyone else want to share. Thanks Dave, you sure gave me plenty of chuckles!

Dave said...

Thanks Edwar-- er, um, Noodnick! I hope you and Schmekl get to enjoy a nice long hug real soon! ;-)

Though not TOO soon, obviously, since Maria's gotta care for her mom for the moment. But I'm sure she'll be here any minute...

Maria is my favorite Russian girl friend. Who cannot respond to this lovely girl? Other wonderful real Russian girls can be found at the web site Love Topping. I warn you in advance that you will be inundated with beautiful Russian women wanting your attention. 50% are scammers but there are some real girls there, I've met three really nice ones.

Real Russian girls tend to be very smart. It is very rare that they will have a computer at home, they will use an internet cafe. It is unlikely that they will understand english very well. Use the following program to communicate,

If you are really serious about communicating with a Russian girl buy the translation program. If you can't read Russian it is unlikely that she can read english.

The web site - Love Topping is a great site to meet real Russian girls. There is a fee of $23 a month I think.

Be honest, be nice, be polite and you will meet some nice Russian girls. They will write you, IM you, and phone you. Just make sure to send them a little bit of money to cover their expenses via Western Union. $100 a month seems appropriate.

Take the attitude that you would spend money on a girlfriend anyway. This girlfriend is just a lot farther away.

Before sending any money though always ask that the girl pose with one of your pictures. This eliminates pretenders right away. It does not eliminate the risk of a scammer but at least you know that you are dealing with a real person.

Most important have fun with it. Share your lifestyle and encourage her to share hers. You will learn a lot about another country and another way of life.

To learn about where she lives in Russia, use Google Earth.

Just my ideas from my success meeting real Russian women. They are really nice and will work very hard to build a relationship if you put the effort in.

Just got the latest installment in the saga. Looks like the trip is going to be pushed back for a spell. Wonder what the real angle is going to end up being?

Damn! My girlfriend is into some kinky stuff! Maybe we could all get together for a reunion video, that is if mommy should survive! Thanks Dave for the post. I was almost sucked in by her. I continue to get updates from her even though I put some stuff about the con in the body of my last e-mail. What must he/she be thinking of American men? Don't they know we think with our penis only part time? The latest e-mail says mommy may have cancer and we will know today. Can't wait!

I thought there was something really fishy about this girl. I am impressed how long she will keep this up. So far she has not asked me for any money, but she has asked for my address. I did not give it to her of course.

I know most people reading this blog already get these, but for the purposes of documentation - the latest installment (includes an address in case you want to send her flowers):

Subject: Worried a little bit

Hello my friend [insert your name here]!

How are you there? How is the weather? I hope that all is well there! I'm fine and the weather here
is great! A real spring has come here! Streams are everywhere! Birds are signing and even the faces
are smiling frequently! As far as weather everything is well here. Unfortunately I have no very good
news about my mother. She is feeling better now, but the doctor still didn't find out what happened
to her. He said that it is very similar to breast cancer. He told me that he will take one more medical
test to make sure that it is a cancer. He said that it is very important to identify the cancer on the
early stage. So tomorrow we'll know for sure what that is. My mother is an aged woman, she is already
58 years old, and that is why she needs a good care. She is now in the hospital where I am working. So
I'll do my best to take care of her.
I went yesterday to my agency and told them again that I need some time to take care of my mother. They
said that it will be no problem, but I have to resolve all my problems in 3 weeks. After this period
they can't promise me anything. They can find someone other to send for work in America and my place
can be occupied. I think that I'll have enough time to resolve everything! So I have my flight postponed.
Tomorrow we'll figure out what happened to my mother and I'll know how much time I'll need and reserve a
flight. I'll let you know the date of my departure for sure, do not worry! After the couple of days that
I have to spend in NYC I'll set out to your town. I wonder what the best way to reach your town is.
Flying? Driving? Bus? Train? Please let me know. I've just understood that I've never given you my address!
I do not think it will be very useful, but in any case, just so you know:
Country: Russia
Region: Komi region
Town: Yarega
Pushkina street building # 12 apt. # 5
I'll be glad if you sent me yours address so I'll know for sure, and will tell it in the agency!
As you know I have two surgeries yesterday and it was not easy. I performed an anesthesia. Fortunately
all went well, as usual. But I was pretty tired. I spent all day in a tension. Today I have some time to
rest. That's great!
I heard that blond ladies are popular in America. Is it right? I heard that some ladies even colour their
hair to look like a blond! I'm in fact naturally blond and never colour my hair. Oh! Did I ever tell what
my favourite flowers are? They are asters, peony and roses of course! Maybe, one day, you could present me
a flower!
Well it's time for me to quit. I'll write you tomorrow.
With great affection!
Your Russian friend

P.S. I've attached a new picture for you! This picture was edited at the photo studio. I made it for you
specially! I hope you'll like it!

Here a email I got last weekend, I see that this one was not posted, so here you all go.

Hello Erik!

How are you? I hope you are well. I'm fine too. It's just a quick note
for you
Erik. I want to let you know that I can't write much today. I stayed
for a
duty today at the hospital. Actually it's not my responsibility to stay
at the
hospital for the night, but the doctor on duty can't work today.
happened with him so I replace him tonight. I didn't see if you sent
me a message
or not, but I'll check my mailbox tomorrow morning. Please keep writing
to me
even if I didn't write, ok. Well, I have to go. Till then Erik.

would like to know how she is going to pull off living in all these different locations. got letter today that she is delaying her trip for 3 weeks to make sure her mother is ok.

Anonymous said...

I think we should all send her the same address and see what kind of a response we get from her when she finds out we all live in the same place.

Anonymous said...

Dude, I hope you have not totally given up on her. She is such a nice girl.
Anyway, I found some of her pictures on some dating scam sites.
search (free) under the name Libi and Albina Habibullina (what a name). Also on under Albina Habibullina- it shows her other email addresses, other names and cites she has used in her emails. Doesn't really say what her scam is. There is a search you can do on there but I am too cheap to pay the $17 member fee.
One more thing. Does anyone think she looks like she has had some work done on her facial features between the first picture and the recent ones? Maybe some of the money she has been sent paid for a nose job or something. Who knows. Hope to hear more from you Dave.

You're guys very fun! I see you like my letters, I do appreciate it. Look out for my next messages!

Hmm, Mom now has cancer, she wants to date me when she gets here, and within months live under the same roof!!? I guess she will have lots of roofs to live under!

Hello my friend Scott!

How have you been? I hope you are well! I know I promised to write you yesterday but I was not able.
I went to my mother to see how she is feeling and I spent the whole evening with her. I hope this not
bothers you. I talked to her doctor and he said that the original diagnosis is confirmed. Indeed my
mother has a first stage of breast cancer and will need a medical operation. Her doctor said that it
is very good that the cancer was detected so early. It gives us a hope that everything will be good.
I was told that the operation will be by Monday. My mother will be prepared for the operation. She
will pass the special course, which means a lot of different vitamins and other preparations. I'm
trying to hold on and not to be very nervous, because the doctor said this operation is not very
intricate. I hope so. As an anesthetist I wanted to perform an anesthesia myself, but I was refused,
because I'm a relative. Fortunately we have enough good specialists here to perform an anesthesia. So
I believe everything will be ok. I was told also that if everything will be ok with my mother after the
surgery she will be released from the hospital in 5 days. As soon as she will be released I'll reserve
a ticket to NYC! I do believe we'll have a good luck!
Well, I looked into the prices to rent an apartment and I think I'll rent one. I think it will be quite
affordable for me. Scott, I really want to date with you when I come. I think we should get to know
each other exclusively! I want to believe that we could be more than friends. Tell me, do you want it
too? I hope you do. Maybe within some months (weeks!) we'll live under the same roof. Who knows! Only
time will tell. Maybe one day we could dance a waltz together! Do you know how to dance waltz? You
definitely have to know it! It is very easy. I like to dance very much. I even studied how to dance when
I was a young girl. It was so long ago that I forgot everything I studied but waltz! I studied rumba,
cha-cha-cha and others Latinos dances. Waltz I'll remember forever. So get ready for the dance Scott!
Well the weather here is frowning behind the window. It seems that the rain with the snow will come soon.
It means that it would be better for me run to home. Actually we don't have many rains here, but the
snowfall is a very frequent fact.
Well it's time for me to quit here. I'm not sure if I'll write you during the weekend but I'll try it for
sure. Maybe I'll find new picture for you, who know! Anyway, I wish you to have a great weekend Scott!
With great affection!

Fresh off the presses:

Hello my friend !

How are you there my friend? How are your folks and friends? I hope that
everything is well there!
I'm just fine. The weather here is going to get better. And it fills me with the
energy and hope.
I visited my mother in the hospital this morning and found her in a good
condition and mood. I talked
with her for a few time and then I had a conversation with her doctor. He said
that she is feeling
well and her condition is stable. He also said that if everything will be ok she
will be released
from the hospital within a week! I was very glad to hear such good news. Since
my aunt Vera is already
here she will help me to take care of my mother now and then when I'll leave to
come to NYC. I think
I'll reserve a flight on April 6 previously. I think that my mother will be
released by this day
already and my aunt Vera will take care of her. My mother's doctor said that the
hospital will bill
us tomorrow. He said that her medical insurance does not cover her surgery.
That's no good, but I think
I'll be able to afford it. I'm sure that I have to help to pay my mother's bill
since she is a pensioner.
As you know pensioners here are very poor people and my mother afford it
, every time when I see your message in my mailbox I can't stop smiling.
You brighten my days,
! I never told you that I find you attractive, but it is so! I'm aware
that you are older than
me but I think it's rather good than bad. I have always liked men who older than
me. I believe that a
woman should be younger than her man. Do you agree with me? , I want to
ask you to do not judge
me too strictly if I didn't answer some of your questions, it was a very hectic,
nervous week and I
could miss something. I hope you understand.
By the way my friend Katerina told me to say Hi to you! I saw her lately and
told her about you. I must
admit she was pretty surprised that we grow into such feelings towards each
other. She said that maybe
someday she will follow me in finding the place for work. Who knows, but she has
to learn English first
of all, she speaks very badly.
, I've prepared a new picture for you! It was taken a year ago in Turkey.
Have you ever been to
Turkey? Turkey is the only place I have been abroad. It's quite affordable place
to rest. You can see
me and my friend Katerina on the picture. Katerina is behind me in the
I hope you like this pic. Well I have to go. Till tomorrow !
With Deep Affection for You!
Your Russian g/friend

been a week since I heard from her. Guess she lost interest when I told her I would find her an apartment to live in.
